Skinetica

Hey Everyone!

I am so excited to share with you a revolutionary skin care option. I always had to deal with problematic skin. Some days are better than others, but it would never be completely clear. About a month ago, I was contacted by a company called Skinetica. It was a skin care product that had promising claims about clearing up the skin. I replied and told them that I would be happy to test it out. Keep reading to see my opinion!

This is Skinetica! Not only is the bottle really nice, but the product inside is.. Wow. There is a slight scent to it that is very pleasant. I does not make the skin feel tightened after the application either.

It easily glides on to the skin. My skin now has a glow to it that I can't replicate with makeup. Any kind of beauty product looks ten times better when the skin is in it's best condition.

Here are the changes I have noticed:

First week- redness reduced around the nose and cheeks

Second week- 75% of imperfections cleared up

Third week- same results as before, but healthier, more dewy

Fourth week- minor imperfections left, majority cleared up

I have noticed a major difference from when I began. I will start a series soon on skincare updates and improvements soon. If you are looking for fast results, I would highly recommend Skinetica. Go to http://www.skinetica.co.uk/ for more info!

Forever Fuchsia's First Anniversary

Wow. It's finally here!

It's pretty amazing how fast a year flies by. I remember getting together with Glitter Girl and we were talking about a blog. We loved sharing fashion and beauty tips with each other, but we wanted to share them with the world. Throughout the past year, we have learned so much about the fashion and beauty industry. It makes my laugh when I look back at out first posts and compare them to our posts now. Here are the first posts on Forever Fuchsia:

WELCOME♥♥♥

Hey, Welcome to Forever Fuchsia!!! This is our first official post ever!We will talk about fashion, hair, lipgloss, etc. Be sure to check back for some awesome posts and feel free to comment!
That was Glitter Girl's first post. Here is my first debut on the website:

WELCOME TO FOREVER FUCHSIA!

Hello Readers!

Welcome to our new fashion blog, forever fuchsia! On this blog, we will be writing about everything from fashion must-haves, beauty bits, and the latest looks the celebrities are rocking! We can not wait to start in, so be sure to check back and see the latest posts. If you have an account, be sure to follow our blog! Instead of doing a long introduction to our blog, I would love to start off with my very first post! Because my friend and I are both blogging on this, we are both going to use the same user account to make things a lot easier for the both of us! Because spring is near, I think it would be best to start off with a closet update and show you all some really great deals!

I adore Forever 21. I tend to wear my clothes for the season needed and unless I have some attachment to it, there it goes. Shoes however, are a completely different story. I prefere to spend a little more on shoes because I have certain types that I just keep going back to, making it unnecessary to toss them when I get the urge to go on a shopping blowout! Holding on to the classics and basics goes for any category, it is those pieces that catch your eye and are impossible to say no to! Sadly, that happens to be my greatest weakness. So when I want to take an adventure and get the thrill of a new purchase, Forever 21 it is.

And that brings me to my next point of the season's new must have! I must take it one piece per post. Apparently, a basic shirt has turned into a wild trend by knotting the ends of a shirt together. This look can be worn in a very casual and comfy style by pairing it with some dark wash denim shorts. I would recommend keeping the look casual by waring some chunky wooden bangles and maybe a small hoop earring to top the look off. This can also be used by wearing it with a thin pencil skirt and wedges. Oh, and the best part? It is only $17.80 where it can be found up to $80 at other stores!

I love how simple yet classy this looks. The yellow pop of color in the earrings puts an interesting twist on the outfit while the wedges keep the outfit from going overboard. I would add a cami under the shirt because I am not loving the whole "everything needs to be shorter/tighter" trend, thank you very much.

So the next time you are wearing a blouse and want to put a spin on it, tie the ends. Be sure to comment below and tell us about your favorite shopping spree moments, trends, and anything else that is needed! Thanks for reading!

This post is not sponsored.

That is how we started off!
People started finding out about the blog after about two months. Our views began to increase and we started improving the quality of out pictures and posts.
In the past year, I have accomplished my goals. I never thought I would be one of "those girls" who would contribute to the beauty industry. 16,000 views later, I am starting to think people might actually be listening.
I am so thankful for this experience. If you have been following the blog for the past year, or if this is your first visit, thank you.
I appreciate each and every one of you. I can't wait to continue growing the Forever Fuchsia community. Second anniversary, here we come!

Winged Eyes and Orange Eyebrows... Wait, what?!?

Yes, I did a double take of the title was well. Disclaimer: this look was not worn in public. Do not try this at home.

Why did I try this? Great question. The Forever Fuchsia team was working on some new looks for posts and we came up with a challenge. Our logo designer picked out a certain number of products for each of us to try and we had to create a look with it. After looking at my kit, I knew there was no hope for the natural look. The madness is explained.

Fabulous, right? This actually was not that difficult to do; the products blended well. The eyebrows are actually the NYX lip pencil in Pumpkin, and the eyes came from a combination of MAC's Hi-def Cyan and NYX Jumbo shadow pencils.

Even though it is strange, I still get points for creativity! Tell me in the comments if you have ever attempted the colored eyebrows trend, and if so, how did you make it work? Thanks for reading!

Nail Necessities

Quick Update: If you have been on the website within the last hour, you may have seen the format. I was testing out a new template, and needless to say, it did not turn out too well! I am quite content with the current one for now. :)

Anyways, I was experimenting with nails. If you have seen some previous posts with my nail polish designs, then you know that I am slightly addicted. The only problem I was running into was the space I had to create my design. My nails do not grow very quickly, but I wanted to test out the look of long nails. I decided to test out fake nails.

I decided on a pair that I knew wouldn't last longer than a week. They were a decent length and not too obnoxious. After gluing them on, I ran into a slight dilemma... I had no idea how to function with them. You basically have to re-learn how to do everyday activities including my nightmare: taking out contacts. I was shocked that after a week later, the nails were still holding strong. I was slightly bored of the design, so I painted over it.

This was the design that I came up with! This was a week later, so you can see that my nails grew out a bit. Overall, I was pretty happy with them. They finally came off about a week later and my nails were not damaged from the glue.
The only activity that took some time for me to do was to get my contacts out. I cannot tell you how many times in those two weeks that I scratched my eyes out. I finally figured out how to slide them and then get them to crinkle up.. It was tough.
I guess if the only downside to the nails was the contact issue, then they went fairly well. I would try them again if I had the chance! Tell me in the comments if you have ever tried fake nails, and if so, how did you like them? Thanks for reading!

Photography And An Update

When was the first time you played with a camera? I was thinking back to my first camera experience when I was working on the settings of my own personal Canon. As a blogger, pictures are extremely important. Beauty blogging does take some time, and most of that time is dedicated to pictures. Capturing the slight glow of a cheek highlight or the daring boldness of a red lip can be challenging. I am the first person to admit that pictures take a lot of effort. Sure, getting the entire family to stay put for more than three seconds on Easter is tough, but you get a memory to cherish for a lifetime out of that one picture.

Even though the pictures I take for the blog are typically close up's, they show every little detail. Every shadow, highlight, and flaw is put on display. To me, it is worth it.

If I have helped one person out with any makeup questions or concerns, than I am fulfilling my position. I have documented every tip and trick I have found in the past year on this website. I am so thankful for each and every one of you, thank you so much for everything you do.

Here are a few of the photos that I have taken in the past month or so:

I just wanted to post this as a reminder to appreciate all that life has to offer. I know that I still have so much to learn and experience, but I promise I will continue sharing it all! Tell me in the comments if photography influences your life, and if so, how? Thank you so much for reading!
