How to do a Perfect Cat Eye

Hello Readers!
A couple of weeks ago I was at the Mac counter seeing what I needed to add to my collection, and one of the Mac artists came up and helped me out. She had an giant cat eye, and I really liked the look so today I'm going to show you how to make the perfect cat eye!

I used Maybelline's Ultra Liner. To do a Cat eye it's best to have a liquid eyeliner because they are easier to use (although they get really messy sometimes) and they look sharper.

1. First, put the tip of the eyeliner at the inner corner of your eye, and make a line until the end of the lashline. Try to do this all in one stroke, it will make the line look more even. Then, start in the middle of the line you just made and make the line thicker towards the end of the lash line. You can make this line as thick as you want. I like to make the line really thick, I feel that it is easier to make the wing if it's thick.

2.Then start at the bottom on the of the line, and wing it up. Next, form a triangle using that line you made. When I say triangle, the line should not be straight. Look at the picture of the end look to see what I mean.

3. Fill in the wing and your done!

This might take you a couple of tries to get it perfect, but it looks amazing! You don't have to make the wing so big, I just made mine super sized so that it would show up better in the picture! Also, try to use small strokes, because if you mess up on one of the strokes it will be easier to correct!

If you want to look a little more intense, you can also put eyeliner on the bottom lashline.

And this is the final look!

I hope you like this post! Please comment and tell me what your favorite liquid eyeliner is! And follow us if you haven't already!

Liquid Eyeliner

A couple of weeks ago I was looking around at Ulta, seeing if there was anything that I needed to add to my makeup collection. But when I came to the Smashbox section, instead of heading straight to there lipgloss (if you have read my Smashbox Lipgloss posts you know how obsessed I am), I went over to the eyeliner section. I instantely fell in love with their Limitless Liquid Liner Pen.

I tried it out and it was amazing! It could go from a normal day look to evening out look in seconds, all you had to do was make it thicker for nighttime. And, it was so intense, I have never seen a black, so, black! It also looked much sharper then regular eyeliner, because regular eyelinerr can smudge, and it doesn't always give you that wow factor that makes your eyes really stand out.

Then I started thinking, is there a mascara out there that can match this eyeliner? Mac's False Lashes Mascara does. It is an intense black, and it makes your eyelashes really thick and makes them stand out more.

If you want to learn a dramatic look to go with this eyeliner, go to my dramatic look post I did. Heres the link: http://www.foreverfuchsia.com/2012/05/dramatic-look.html

Winged Eyeliner

Hey everyone!

In my last post on the silver smokey eye, I winged out my liner a little. I didn't do a huge wing, just a small one to lift up my eyes and to define them. I wanted to show you my secret for it, so here it is!

Here you can see the basics. I only have Urban Decay zero on my upper lash line with Mac Carbon smudged in with a 226 brush. This is the first step, and then you build from there!
So this is the shape your line will take. The key to this is to wing it out by following the curve of your lower lash line. This is the angle that is the best for your eye shape! It looks really dramatic in this picture, but when you open your eyes, it looks much smaller.
And that is it! You can make a thicker, longer wing to make it more dramatic, but I prefer the smaller ones. I just put a little mascara on with a peach/gold base and a soft brown in the crease.

To soften it up, you could set it with a grey shadow. I love to set my eyeliner with an eyeshadow because it makes it stay longer and it helps smudge it out. I use a 266 brush to place this really close to the lash line.

My tip is to make sure they are even by using the lower lash line technique. Also, start small. It is much easier to add more color then try to get it off without wiping off the erst of your look!

The Key to the Cat Eye

You may have seen people before who have on a makeup look that is super intense and looks amazing. This is probably due to their eyeliner, and the key to that look is they line their waterline. The waterline is the little flap of skin on the lower half of your eye. And that picture below is not of me by the way!

So this area can be lined using two methods. One is to use darker colors-such as blacks or browns to make the eyes appear smaller and define them more. Another is to use light colors such as a peach or a white to make the eyes appear larger! This has a really cool affect.

Make sure that the eyeliner you are using is waterline approved, in most cases unless it comes with a safety warning, you are good to go. Unless you are using a matte eyeliner, it will slide off pretty fast. I like to set it with powder to make it last longer. The best liners for the waterline are urban decay's eyeliners or mac fluidlines. Be sure to comment below and tell me if you line your waterline and what posts you want to see next!
